I'm Braeden Clements-Toliver, a licensed health insurance advisor in 32 states, and self-employed myself, like many of my clients. Braeden Clements-Toliver · Founder, BCT Health Advisors

I got into health insurance because people deserve straight answers.

Too many people find out what their plan covers at the worst moment: a big bill, a denied claim, a doctor who isn't in network. I became a licensed agent so my clients don't have to deal with that.

So I keep it simple: every option side by side in plain English, Marketplace and private, check for your doctors, prescriptions and budget. And I stick with you after you enroll throughout the lifetime of the policy.

The 30-Minute Call

What we go over, side by side, Marketplace and private.

Every plan gets checked against the same six things before you decide.

Your doctors and hospitals

Are the ones you actually use in network? We check that first.

Your prescriptions

Covered or not, and what each one costs you.

Your monthly premium

The exact number, after any subsidy you qualify for.

What you'd owe when you use it

Deductible, copays and the out-of-pocket max. No surprises.

Marketplace vs. private, side by side

Your HealthCare.gov options next to the private PPO plans you may qualify for, carrier named on each.

Set up your 2027 health plan

Pick one and we enroll together on the carrier's own secure application.

  • Your information goes to the insurer, not this website.
  • Whatever plan you choose, I come with it. Text or call me all year.
Questions & Answers

Clear answers before you book.

Here's what to know before we talk.

How can I check your license?

My license is public record. Search NPN 21652342 or the name Braeden Clements-Toliver on your state insurance department's website. It takes about a minute and costs nothing.

Look up my license on your state's site →

Which plans will you actually show me?

Both kinds. I show you your Public Marketplace options from HealthCare.gov, with any subsidy you qualify for, and the private-market plans available to you, side by side, so you see everything before you decide. Depending on your health and where you live, you may qualify for a private PPO plan with a lower deductible than what you're seeing on the Marketplace. If the Marketplace plan is the better fit, I'll tell you that too.

What happens after I pick a plan?

Whatever plan you choose, I come with it. I'm your person all year by text or phone: finding a doctor in your network, checking whether a prescription is covered, a bill that doesn't look right, a new baby or a new job. You never call a 1-800 number and start from zero.

What if the plan I already have is my best option?

Then I'll tell you to keep it. If your current plan already fits your doctors and your budget, the honest answer is to stay put, and that's the answer you'll get from me. Checking costs you nothing, and you'll know for sure.

Why does your help cost $0? Is the plan marked up?

No. By state insurance law, health insurance rates are fixed and filed with your State Department of Insurance. Whether you buy a plan directly on a website by yourself or have me shop and manage it for you all year, the monthly premium is identical down to the penny. The carrier pays me a flat broker commission out of their administrative budget.

Can I get coverage outside of open enrollment?

Often, yes. ACA Marketplace plans require open enrollment (November 1 to January 15 in most states) or a qualifying life event, but private health plans can be applied for year-round. On our call I'll tell you exactly which windows apply to you.
